One of my biggest obstacles to losing weight is my job. Or, rather, my feelings about my job. Or, more precisely still, how I deal with the boredom of my job. By the end of the week, I am on the edge, and all I want to do is go home and drink my supper.
So it is no surprise that the end of this week found me falling off the no flour, no sugar diet. Actually, I didn’t fall far, but I did overeat, stuffing my face in a useless effort to feel better. I need a healthier alternative to comfort food.
What I ate yesterday:
-
Coffee w/ half ‘n’ half
-
Oatmeal w/ butter, raisins, agave nectar
-
2% milk – 1 c.
-
Salmon patties – 2 (these were from the cafeteria and tasted really good, so there was probably something in them that is bad for you)
-
Broccoli and cauliflower
-
Wild and white rice pilaf
-
Chocolate chip chocolate cookie (this tasted really good, too, with sips of black coffee)
-
GORP – 1/2 c.
-
Cheese curls – the whole bag which fortunately was not very big. These were “healthy” cheese curls, made without wheat or gluten.
-
Mead – 1 glass
-
7 grain Kashi w/ 1 c. 2% milk, walnuts, and dehydrated raspberries
Yesterday’s exercise: gnashing of teeth
